Give a robot a job.
Children explore senses and sensors, then design a robot with a sensor and a purpose. They can explain what their design needs to notice.
Fanoos / AI & TechnologyFanoos is Hudhud’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Technology curriculum. Pupils learn how intelligent systems work, practise with data and code, and question the decisions those systems make.
Two examples from Fanoos show how the work becomes more demanding as pupils grow.
Children explore senses and sensors, then design a robot with a sensor and a purpose. They can explain what their design needs to notice.
Pupils train a model with labelled images, test its predictions and begin to notice when the examples leave something out.
Later, pupils examine supervised learning, accuracy and fairness. By Grades 9–12, they investigate neural networks, generative AI and deepfakes, and consider how rules can limit harm.
They can show their thinking through a working model, a tested solution or an argued decision — explaining both what it does and where it may fall short.
